About Us
Our vision is to serve communities across Australia with high-quality, innovative care. We believe that everyone, regardless of location, deserves access to the best healthcare possible.

The Lift Health Group Story
Lift Health Group was founded in February 2023 by Matt Belperio and Annie Hall, with a single conviction: that where a person lives should not determine the quality of healthcare they can access.
Rural and remote Australia covers vast distances and includes many of the communities where allied health services are hardest to sustain. These are also the communities, including many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, where the consequences of inconsistent care are felt most acutely.
Matt and Annie had experienced this first hand. Annie grew up spending time in Corny Point, a community of around 136 people on the Yorke Peninsula, where the nearest allied health services were hours away by road. Matt spent much of his childhood in Quorn, in the Flinders Ranges, where his uncle worked as the town’s only doctor. In both places, people went without care, travelled long distances to access services, or could not get access at all.
Both were working as clinicians in Adelaide, where allied health is well established and, in many areas, saturated. Metropolitan patients could choose between providers within a few kilometres of home, while communities a few hours away struggled to access a single consistent service. Matt and Annie wanted to take their skills to the places where those skills were genuinely needed.
The main barrier is distance. Without regular services, small concerns can go unaddressed and become serious by the time someone is seen. This is not a reflection on the communities. It reflects a system that has not consistently shown up for them.
Matt, a physiotherapist, obtained his pilot’s license so that clinicians could reach communities that road-based services had never reliably served. From February 2023, he and Annie began flying into rural and remote towns, listening to what each community identified as its priorities and designing services around that.
The first clinic opened at the Maitland Health Centre, operating Monday to Wednesday. What stood out from the earliest visits was how openly clients welcomed the service. People were generous with their time and honest about what they needed. Communities embraced the model quickly, coordinating transport to and from the airport, spreading the word about clinic days, and making it clear that consistent service provision was something they had been waiting for. That response has shaped every location Lift Health Group has opened since.
In under three years, the team has grown from two to more than 20 clinicians, with a presence in every state of Australia. Each new location is chosen because the need is clear, the partnership is genuine, and the service can be delivered consistently over time.
The mission has not changed since day one. Consistent, high-quality allied health care, delivered where people live, in partnership with the communities we serve.
