Physiotherapy FAQs

Physiotherapy is a healthcare service aimed at restoring movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. Our physiotherapists use hands on techniques, exercise prescription and education to help you achieve your goals.

Our Lift Physiotherapists can treat and manage a range of conditions including:

  • Balance, vestibular or mobility problems
  • Musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, joints), including workplace and MVA injuries
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Neurological conditions (stroke, Parkinson’s disease)
  • Respiratory issues (COPD, post-COVID recovery)
  • Chronic pain management
  • Sports injuries and overuse syndromes
  • Review of your medical history and background
  • Discussion of your goals and daily activities
  • Physical examination of your movement and functional capacity
  • Identification of impairments or limitations
  • Development of a personalised treatment plan
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing
  • Bring any referral letters or imaging reports
  • List your current medications
  • Have a clear idea of your goals and concerns

Sessions typically run for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs. This may include objective/physical reassessment, hands on treatment as needed, exercise prescription and education/advice.

Yes. We offer in-home visits across rural and remote areas. Please mention your preference when you book.

Most private health funds rebate physiotherapy services—please check your level of cover. NDIS participants may be eligible under core or capacity-building supports; we can assist with funding paperwork.

The number varies by condition and progress. Your physiotherapist will review regularly and adjust your plan to ensure you make steady gains.
